Job Opening Details:
Oracle Database Developer / Administrator (Full-Time)
Work with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) clients in a Next Generation aviation software research and development laboratory. Develop and maintain Oracle databases to analyze metrics on air traffic control operation safety and efficiency. Collaborate with end users and developers to design user interface and database system requirements. Develop entity-relationship diagrams and database models. Develop and demo prototypes to report metrics for air traffic control equipment performance and operational safety risk. Provide inputs to database data dictionary and user guide development. Work as part of software research team to ensure database is tested to meet system requirements.
Location: Onsite at FAA Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ (near Atlantic City).
Qualifications: Oracle Experience Required. Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Information Technology and at least 7 years of database related experience. No degree required with 11 years of Oracle experience. Familiarity with FAA projects or air traffic control technologies desired.
Java Developer / Programmer (Full-Time)
Work with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) clients in a Next Generation aviation software research and development laboratory. Use Java Enterprise Edition to develop software systems to monitor and analyze air traffic control operations. Develop software applications and user interfaces to report metrics for air traffic control equipment performance and operational safety risk. Develop computer programs to model and simulate nominal and abnormal air traffic system operations. Work as part of a software research team to design algorithms, system architecture, and software specifications and ensure software product is tested to meet system requirements.
Location: Onsite at FAA Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ (near Atlantic City).
Qualifications: Java and Graphical User Interface Development Experience Required. Bachelor’s in Software Engineering or Computer Science and at least 9 years experience; or Master's and 7 years experience. No degree required with 13 years of Java experience. Familiarity with FAA projects or air traffic control technologies desired. Experience with Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) desired.
